US Navy
Ensign US Navy: Ronald Christopher Fenton!!! I am so proud of him selflessly serving his country!
And my cute military Build-a-Bear (appropriately named Admiral) to remind me of him, while he is gone at Officer Development school (in Rhode Island) for 45 days this summer.

Daily Adventures in the Fenton Home
Well, I thought you all, my very dedicated blog readers, deserved an update...no matter how dull it may be. I have to admit we live a pretty dull life, which isn't all that bad (depending on how you look at it). :-)
Here is where Ron spends all day in class or lab. And let me tell you Ron can talk your ear off about what he learned about in lab...but I'll warn you, it is pretty intense (not for the weak of stomach)!
As for me I spend a good majority of my time here (and I don't mean shopping). ;-)
This last week and next week I have been and will be working overnights. I have come to the conclusion that I prefer overnights, if I could get my body to function during the day. I enjoy having the store to myself and not having to work the sales floor. I used to enjoy customer service, but I think I'm over it.
We FINALLY experienced winter. I was starting to think that everyone made up stories that it snowed in the Denver area. :-)
We do have some time off coming up here soon. Ron's brother is getting married April 1 in all places...Logan, UT. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would ever be going back. ;-) We are looking forward to going back and getting together w/our friends as well as seeing Ron's family. I especially, am going to enjoy some well earned time off. So, you will have a more interesting post (w/loads of pictures) coming in the near future!

Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I have no resolutions this year as they all get broken anyhow. But if I post my list of personal improvements for all the world to see, maybe I would be more inclined to succeed!!
1) I hope to get healthier and lose some weight (permanently)
2) I hope to be more outgoing and make some new friends
3) I hope to be more supportive of Ron's decision to become a doctor
4) I hope to make an overall attitude adjustment
5) I hope to be more appreciate and thankful for everything and everyone in my life instead of comparing myself and wishing things were different! Life can be difficult, but wonderful all at the same time!
There are so many things to be thankful for this upcoming year, as well as new adventures! Best wishes to all my friends & family for a Happy New Year!
Denver Zoo Lights
I have been so lazy over the holiday season about posting...no, let me take it back I have been exhausted and my blog has not been a priority. Talk about being honest. I've been unable to take any time off work & this last week I did overnights all week (totally sleep deprived is what I am). So, now the holiday season is official over (and I wasn't even able to stay up until midnight...sad, I know) and my regular schedule resumes I will catch up on past blogs & life will officially become boring again! ;-)
Anyhow, we went to the Denver Zoo Lights the weekend before Christmas w/our friends John & Sarah and their adorable little boy! The crowds were ridiculous, I underestimated just how popular it would be. Thankfully we arrived there about an hour after they opened and only waited about 30 min to buy tickets and get in. Had we come later it was easily over an hour wait. Ugh! Anyhow, it was a very fun evening w/our friends and the light display was incredible. Definitely helped me get in the Christmas spirit. I hope we maybe make this a tradition w/our friends (until we all move of course, which is inevitable). :-)

Wildland Experience
The Wildland Experience is just down the road from our house. I had heard the lights were amazing and so we decided to check it out. It was a cold evening, but it's not Christmas if it's not cold, right?!? Anyhow, we paid the fee and were disappointed to find out you could see all the lights from the road (for free). We will make sure to just drive by a couple times next year! ;-) But the lights were still pretty to look at!

Christmas Fun!
One of the clubs at Ron's school was putting on a Christmas craft day last weekend. I begged him to go w/me & my cuteness won him over! We both ended up having a really great time. We ran into several people we knew and had an overall pleasant morning. Anyhow, here are some pics of the yummy goodies we made!
Pine Cone Christmas Tree
Terracotta Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer!
One of a kind snowflake (meteorologists are good at creating those)!
Star of David & Frosty the Snowman!
Wreath Christmas card holder (already put to good use)

Christmas Party
One of the women I work with, Nancy, decided to throw a Christmas party last week. She invited several of the women from work! We had lots of yummy food and a gift exchange. Always a good time. It was nice to get to know these women outside the work environment. I would proudly call them my friends. The tall lady with the bright red hair, Danielle, recently left for an internship in Oregon. We have worked together since July and I am really going to miss her (but wish her the best of luck).
