DO Interview

Ron has his first DO medical school interview tomorrow (Friday, March 20). He is interviewing at a school down in Mesa, AZ. He is pretty excited about the opportunity! We both hope it goes well. I also hope that he comes back after enjoying the warm temperatures and sunshine down there!!!

A Fun Update

The life of two graduate students isn't real exciting, explaining why we don't post very often.

Ron is in the process of waiting for his professor to proofread his thesis. He also has two medical school interviews with DO (doctor of osteopathy) schools (one in California, another in Arizona) at the end of March, at which time we also hope to hear back from the U. Here is a website for a definition of DO if you don't know what it is:

Lynda is also quite busy. She decided to accept a second TA position. Both classes are Climate Classes and keep her busy correcting papers, and remaining available to students. She is also in the process of pushing through her thesis proposal and finishing up her thesis. The goal is to graduate in May, but whether or not that will happen remains to be seen! Ah, the life of a graduate student! :-) She is also enjoying her one week a month forecasts she does for UPR!

Super Bowl

This upcoming weekend is Super Bowl! Yipee! We usually have a Super Bowl weekend with all our friends from Montana Tech where it's one big party for three days! Well, half of our friends are living/working out of country this year, so no party. So instead I decided to remember all the fun parties we did have! Hope you enjoy the pictures, definitely brings back good memories for me!

New Year's Wedding!

Happy New Year to all our friends and family out there! We wish you only the best for 2009!! May God bless your families!

This New Year's was quite exciting! One of Ron's good friends got married. We are so close with the entire family, that they just consider us one of the kids! The wedding was beautiful, kind of a mix between a Mormon ceremony and a civil ceremony (unique is a good word). It was just a beautiful day with our wonderful friends! What a better way to ring in the new year! (The lights in the room make the pictures look yellow.)

Us with the bride and groom!

Aren't we cute?

Shawn (the groom) and Ron (my adorable husband)

The beautiful cake made by a family friend (I helped make a couple of the flower arrangements and added the pearls...minor by comparison)!!

Cutting the beautiful cake (they nicely fed each other the cake, I smashed it in Ron's face)!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family! We spent Christmas with my family in Deer Lodge this year. It was a nice quiet, relaxing visit!

I enjoyed some time with my doggie, Max, too. We had fun in the snow!

Fun in the snow!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

No matter where we went for Christmas this year, there was plenty of snow to go around. In Montana, where we enjoyed Christmas with my family, there was only a few inches of snow, but the temperatures would dip into the negative double digits at night.

This is our backyard in Deer Lodge.

Mount Powell

This is the scenery we arrived to in Logan. There is probably over 2 feet of snow here. It is beautiful, but boy is it a mess.

Christmas Memories

I thought this would be a fun Christmas memory to share with all my family and friends! December 17, 2002 was one of the best days of my life! I was returning to Montana from my first semester at the University of Oklahoma, in Norman. My boyfriend at the time, Ron, met me at the airport with half a dozen roses beaming from ear to ear! We get to his house, and I run upstairs to drop off my luggage before going downstairs for dinner. When I turn on the light, I see my kiss-kiss bears holding up a heart stating "marry me" (see picture)! I turn around, and there is Ron holding out my heart-shaped ruby engagement ring! Of course you know the ending...I said "YES" and we are living happily ever after!
