Christmas
Yes, I realize I am behind. This is a constant at our home. I came to the conclusion today, that I would rather have a messy house if that means I get to play w/Aidan and enjoy all his exploring and giggling. Worth it to me!
Anyhow...we spent Christmas in Boise w/Mema (Grandma Fenton). It was Aidan's first Christmas and he was loved by lots and lots of family! Let me tell you he enjoyed every single minute of it!
He started crawling right before we left, but decided not to do much at Mema's (but boy was he on the move when we got home). He did start pulling himself on any and every object he could get to though!
During my time off, Aidan enjoyed undecorating the Christmas tree!
Wrapping himself up in his blankets!
And helping mommy w/the laundry!

First Airplane Ride
Aidan had his first airplane ride on Christmas Eve as we fly to Boise to see Mema (you'll understand the name if you're a fan of "Big Bang Theory")! I was super disappointed about spending Christmas Eve night at the airport, but we spent the evening together as a family. That is all that matters. So, we got Aidan to go go sleep before the airplane took off (of course it was running late as it had just started snowing & they had to deice it). Unfortunately, when we hit altitude he woke up screaming. Poor little guy, his ears probably popped. So we spent the remainder of the trip (hour and a half) with a happy/grouchy Aidan. I suppose it could have been worse. Thankfully the flight home was much better. He stayed awake during take off and seemed to doing pretty good, but then decided to nap the remainder of the trip! Thankfully both ways were very uneventful!

Parade of Lights
This year we decided to check out the parade of lights on 16th St in downtown Denver! We met up with some college friends from Montana Tech and had a great time! It was probably 40 degrees that night, perfect parade watching weather!

Halloween
Halloween wasn't really a big deal around here this year. Ron was on his trauma surgery rotation that month, so we saw very little of him. Then, Aidan shared hand, foot and mouth with both of us. Worst. Disease. Ever. The sores, the fever, the itching...what a nightmare. So, as you can tell, we just really didn't have the energy for Halloween.
Anyhow....my friend (my first college roommate) Kami and I took Aidan to the Botanical Gardens, where they had some fun Halloween activities. It was a crazy hot day and all the corn looked dead, so we decided to only go on the hayride and skip the corn maze. Aidan seemed to love walking around out in the sunshine.
I did take Aidan to the Fall Festival up at Ron's school. We dressed him as Dr. Aidan.
On Halloween, his daycare has a parade where all the kids dress up and walk around the building (other than the infants of course). Ron and I were both able to make the parade and Ron walked him around the building. I call this a complete success!
