Summer Celebration!!!

Summer birthdays are really starting to pop up! Our friend, Amanda, invited us to join in on their family birthday celebration (as we are practically family anyhow). So, we helped decorate the park and then enjoyed the dutchoven upsidedown pineapple cake and water balloon fight! There were close to a dozen cousins all running around screaming and having a great time! Ron, of course, is just one of the kids and they all love him! I can't think of a better way to spend an evening, than with friends!

Summer Flower Garden

The last two summer's I felt motivated to grow flowers outside our apartment. Since we have to pay if we want a garden, I decided to buy a few pots to grow my beautiful flowers. Last year I grew sunflowers (my favorites, of course) , which I later came to find out where supposed to be taller than me and really shouldn't be restricted to pots...but they thrived anyhow! This year I decided to plant some wildflowers, as they were supposed to be tall enough to thrive in pots! Both years my flowers have turned out beautiful! Here are some pictures to enjoy!

Birthday/Going Away Party

This was our last friendly gathering with Kali, Taylor and Kenzi before they made their big move to Arizona. Our friend, June, had a birthday the beginning of June so Kali threw her a birthday party. We had yummy cake and ice cream as well as karaoke!! It was a fun evening. Even though we are all going to miss the Hoenes' we wish them only the best on their new adventure!

Another Montana Wedding!

Well, the main reason for our trip to Montana was the wedding of Ron's high school friend, Joe. Ron was one of the groomsmen (along with his other two friends from high school, Ryan and Mike). The day of the wedding, Ron spent with the boys and I went out and played with my friend, Joana! We went to Gibson park to see the ducks...did you know that seagulls eat small birds? Joana and I were walking along the path and she heard a terrible squeak...the next thing I saw was Joana chasing a seagull! he he he!!! Then I saw it had a tiny bird in its mouth and before you know it the seagull swallowed the small bird and we were traumatized. We also went to check out an art museum...it had some very different modern art so we made sure to take some funny pictures!

Anyhow, the wedding was absolutely beautiful. I didn't get any pictures of the bride and groom or Ron walking down the aisle as I had a seat in the back. I also forgot to get a picture of Ron giving a toast (he did a great job). There was a lot of amazing food, dancing and great friends to enjoy the weekend with. We are looking forward to our final wedding in Seattle the beginning of August!

My Dog Max!

Well, since we don't have any children at the moment, I thought I would brag about my most favorite pet in the world! Max, the Sorenson family dog! We know he is a black lab, but we're unsure whether he is 100% lab or if he is some sort of mix. We adopted him my senior year of high school (summer 1999), and we think he turned 14 (in people years, 91 in doggie years) this year! He is the sweetest dog ever, and I enjoy spoiling him...of course my parents say they plan on paying me back the day we bring grandkids home. That gives me a few more years!!! Wedding Season has Begun!!!

The first wedding of the season, was for a longtime family friend. I grew up with Morgen, and was very excited that she had found the man of her dreams. I drove back to Montana (without Ron as he was taking the MCAT that weekend) in anticipation of this wedding (occurring May 31) and am looking forward to another wedding for Ron's high school friend, Joe, this upcoming weekend (June 7). Anyhow, to make a long story short, I am posting some fun pictures of my "sisters"!!!

Ron's Master's Graduation!

What a fun day! My parents came up from Montana and Ron's mom, aunt and uncle all came up from Idaho for the day! My mom and I spent the morning preparing a super fun lunch for everyone before heading over to the Spectrum for graduation. Graduation only lasted an hour and half, which made all involved very happy! We took lots of good pictures (and have lots of good memories). We enjoyed Dairy Queen cake after graduation and then steak for dinner! Plus, lots of fun conversation and a few good laughs! Enjoy all the picture, I am sure it will be obvious how happy we are for Ron. All his hard work and persistence finally paid off and he now official has his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering!!!
